Unterschächen - Brunnital (Canton Uri ❤️)

yesterday we did 2 small, easy and beautiful walks in this magnificent place which is located at the Klausenpass, on the side of the canton of Uri ❤️ https://www.uri.swiss/de/

The Stäuben Falls (very famous place) have been on my list of places that I absolutely want to see for a long time. From Unterschächen (where we parked) to Äsch and Stäuben Falls, the walk takes about 1 hour. This is a place to put absolutely on your bucket list if you go through this pass, you will not be disappointed. After we have enjoyed a little this breathtaking place and recharged our batteries 😁. We wanted to take the cable car from Äsch to Oberalp. but they were then just on their lunch break, so instead of waiting we decided to walk back to Unterschächen and then head towards Brunital to take the little gondola to Sittlisalp, and we weren't dissapointed at all

We took then the small cable car in Brunnital to Sittlisalp Bergstation 1617m, which is very, very steep 🙈 I usually get a panic attack when it's steep, then I need a distraction, and this time I was lucky because Martin was sitting opposite us! in that short time he told us about this beautiful and romantic valley, telling me that the hiking trail down to Brunni would be very easy, and doable for someone like me who is afraid of heights. I told cuddle bear that from now I need a Martin for every gondola ride, so I can take any cable car 🤣

We had hardly started our walk when we were accost by Hans, a retired farmer enjoying the summer with his wife Maria, in his hut in the mountains. He immediately invited us for a coffee added with schnapps and cheese from the Sittlisalp 😆 so lovely people ❤️

After more than half an hour coffee and chat break we continued to Sittlisalp 1650m, and from there we descended to Brunni 1402m, where we had a little lunch break in the Brunnialp-Beizli, and then we walked back to Unterschächen 1000.

Befor we drived back Home via the Klausenpass, We decided to relax a bit at the ”Vierwaldstättersee“, and then to stop at Urnerboden for dinner.

We can say that we enjoyed the whole day 😁
