From Stein 838m to Vorder Höhi 1537m

today we took a short hike at @toggenburg_swiss 💚 and @amden_weesen 💚

Seeing that it was not planned we had taken nothing to eat, but in the small village Stein (SG) 838m, where we started the hike, there is a shop open 24 hours a day which sells lots of Toggenburg specialties 😋 so we found what we needed for the picnic. We opted for the hiking trail to Vorder Höhi 1537m. it is a beautiful path in the forest along the Dürrenbach and its hundred artificial waterfalls (These structures have been built over the last hundred years to break the force of the water), through pasture and some small fens. Arrived at Vorder Höhi we took our lunch break. I wasn't in shape enough to walk up even more to Gulmen 1789m, but we will keep it for the next time 😅 we took then another path to go down via Starkenbach 890m, and from there we walked along the Thur (Thurweg) to return to Stein. it was a very beautiful circular hike of about 15km 😊
