From Ganterschwil to Köbelisberg (District Toggenburg)

An other Beautiful hike in District Toggenburg. Today we walked about 6 Hours. It may be a bit long but it’s an easy walk, which passes through roads, fields, forest paths, little villages. We started at Ganterschwil 606m. We walked direction Wigetshof 691m, and then Lichtensteig 625m where we stopped For a coffee. After we had to climb a bit 😅 until the restaurant Köbelisberg 1045m. From here you can enjoy a wonderful panorama of the Säntis, the Churfirsten, the Speer even until the Bernese Alps (by good and clear wetter of course). Despite the cold wind, the terrace of the restaurant was filled. We saw that just a few meters above the restaurant there was a nice barbecue area with the same amazing view 😁 (lucky we ! because it was lunch time. and the cervelas are much better grilled then cold 😆). After Lunch we walk up to Köbelisberg 1146m, then we walk via Wasserfluh 843m, Oberhelfenschwil 805m, and back to Ganterschwil 606m. We walked almost 25 km, so cuddle bear have well deserved his Desserts after this 😆🎂🍪☕️

for those who would like to do a bit a shorter walk until the Köbelisberg restaurant (where is also a beautiful playground) there is a parking (Parkplatz Burg) between Lichtensteig and Wasserfluh, and from there the walk to the restaurant takes about 45min.
