Canton Aargau is situated by the lower course of The beautiful Aare River, which is why the canton is called Aar-gau (= "Aare province"). It is one of the most densely populated regions of Switzerland.
THE FOOD TRAIL
On our First day here we did one of this culinary scavenger hunt in the Beautiful Aargau Jura Park, who took us through villages, rolling hills, sparse forests and various agricultural cultures. Anyone who loves to be in the outdoors and who loves regional products is in the right place here 😁
This delectable scavenger hunt begins in Frick at https://www.kunz-baeckerei.ch/index.html , where you receive the first puzzle and the first goodie 😁😋. I won't tell you the next localities, you will have to discover it on this food trail by solving the puzzles from one station to the other 😁 and your efforts will be rewarded at each station with a regional delicacy.

After the Food Trail, we drove from Frick to Bad Schinznach on the nice little pass road (Staffelegg Pass), we made a stopover in Thalheim to take a little walk to the Schenkenberg ruins (about 30min Walk 📷😁). The castle was built in the 13th Century by the Habsburg dynasty, it was the administrative seat for 260 years of a bailiwick of the city of Bern and fell into ruin in the 18th century.
There are many castles and ruins in the canton of Aargau. The Jura Park is rich in historical evidence from the Roman and Habsburg eras, and it also harbors a large number of natural treasures 🌳🌲🌸🌼💦
